Client: The Menil Collection

I had the honor of designing for the beloved neighborhood museum, The Menil Collection. Key deliverables included a map, an event listing, social media design, and physical postcards.
Goal:

Bring the energy of a green space to The Menil Collection’s precise identity system for their annual Neighborhood Community Day.
Design Thinking:

From the start, I prioritized adhering to brand standards and honoring the institution’s identity. The annual day needed its own sub-brand but only enough branding to stand out as a separate event. Minimalism with a touch of energy, inspired by life on the grounds, became my touchstone.
Solution:

Design within the museum’s brand identity, using color and strong type setting to make the event stand out among other museum programming and nearby events. Collaborate with the marketing staff on design decisions to ensure brand integrity. Utilize the italicized typeface to mimic the movement of the Neighborhood Community Day activities.
